Here's the thing about shopping. I have a love/hate relationship with it. Whenever I *need* something, like say a dress for a party I'm going to (yes, I know - me? invited to a party? har har har, but just go with it) I can never find something I like. Or when I've actually got a gift card or money to spend, it's like meh, nothing on the racks calls out to me. But when I'm supposed to be saving money or I'm looking for a specific item like, say, a dressy top to go with jeans, I'll find everything else I've always been looking for and never needed but had to have.

Like the old school tube socks with the stripes around the top. Or a purple visor one might wear in a game of poker. Or Madonna-era mesh hot pink fingerless gloves... But no top.

Not that I'm speaking from my experience today or anything.

I also don't like shopping with just anyone for clothes. I'm ridiculously picky (no tank-tops, I have fat arms) and have specific ideals (busy patterns are for the petite, not for me) and that can annoy people who are just trying to help. 

But today I ventured out for a day of shopping with some amazing ladies who I knew would be a good time.

And a good time, we had.

Have you ever entered a store that has incredibly high priced but ridiculously ugly clothes and felt the need to mock the outfits with your friends?

It is not often that I find something that looks good on the rack that also looks good on me. I have big boobs and no hips or butt. I'm shaped like an ice cream cone. Try to find something that looks hot? Yeah, right.

I am a firm believer that if "they" wouldn't make that stuff, "they" wouldn't think they had to wear that stuff.
