Polls are open

The polls are open. To the right of this post, you can cast your vote to pick the name of the Not-A-Book Club Book Club that will kick off sometime this Spring. You have all week to vote, so carefully look over the selections, as this is no doubt the most important decision you will make for the next 30 seconds of your life.

Just a little explanation on the suggested titles: The "D.U.M.B C.L.U.B" stands for "A Darling Undomestic diva-reading Marvelous Bunch of people Choosing Lovely Unread Books." The "Red That Society" is a play on "Red Hat Society." I don't think I have to explain "Starbooks" if you've read anything I've ever written on this blog. "The Un-Book Club" and "Undomestic Readers" are pretty self-explanatory as well.

Name the Not-A-Book-Club Book Club

I recently mentioned my idea for a summertime book club that's not a book club and the majority of you said I was simply brilliant for being the person EVER to have any sort of reading group or book club or organized reading.

FINE. Perhaps I'm the not first person ever to do such a thing. But I do promise to make it more fun and waaaaay cooler than the conventional book club. I may not know how yet, but I'll figure something out.

ANYWAY, most of you did think it was a good idea, something you might be interested in participating in. Because I'm cool. Because "cool" naturally coincides with a book club. Obviously.

(Hey, in my world it does.)

So I need your help. In the comments section of this post, dig up all your creativity and submit your idea(s) for what we should call our Not-A-Book-Club Book Club. Your suggestions can be funny, off-the-wall, serious, simple, innuendo, WHATEVER. Submit as many ideas as you'd like, as many times as you'd like. I'm giving you all weekend to think up something amazing. (No pressure.) I will pick my top 5 favorites and post a poll Monday where everyone can vote on the winner. Whoever submitted the winning title for the Not-A-Book-Club Book Club will receive a lovely prize.
