As most of you know, last year bloggers, friends and perfect strangers came from all over the U.S. and beyond to March for Maddie and for the March of Dimes, a cause that is obviously dear to the Spohr family. It was a sight to see and I am proud to have been a part of it.
THIS GROUP and HUNDREDS of others who donated and walked - in Los Angeles and in more than 30 other states - made the Maddie team the most successful family team in the country last year. Even before the walk ended, I knew I'd be back this year to celebrate Maddie and all the other babies who are born prematurely, not to mention the amazing work that the March of Dimes does.
While I did not have any premature babies, I did have major complications with each pregnancy (ITP). Upon discovering this, I was obviously scared about the unknown and then I got a call... from the head neonatologist from the March of Dimes who was able to give me some insight and to reassure me. This was almost 8 years ago and I have been a proud supporter of the March of Dimes ever since.
If you're in the Los Angeles area or are making plans to be on Saturday, April 24, please join us in Marching for Maddie. If you can't be here with us, consider creating your own team in your area or you can donate/sponsor someone who is walking.
I have set up a donation widget on my sidebar or you can donate here. All the money I raise for March of Dimes falls under the March for Maddie Team that the Spohr's have created.
Oh me! I would love to go back it was such an amazing experience last year. I'm going to try to make it out there. Anybody know of any good couches to crash on?

I would love to join ya'll in Sunny California, but I'm not quite sure funds will allow. I have, however, set up our Houston March for Maddie Team again, if I don't travel to LA I'll be walking here on April 25th.

marched and plans to march each year. Due to pregnancy complications I won't be able to walk this year but I have already donated and plan on walking next year! I know that this year will be even better than last!!!!
